Cafe AREA Manager

Reports to: COO

Classification: Salaried. Full-time

We are searching for an vibrant, passionate person looking for a true career path with an exciting company committed to health and wellness. Maybe you have already done a juice cleanse, or perhaps you are simply to go to person in your circle when it comes to healthy food and activity. You will have 3+ years of quick service management experience, managing multiple locations a plus, are an effective team builder, system and process creator, are highly organized, have an entrepreneurial spirit and would be excited about the potential of developing and running our cafes and downtown catering with a high level of autonomy.

The Area Manager will supervise staff, manage the stores operations, interact with customers and build upon current systems to allow our cafes to be self sufficient. A big part of your role will be an “educator” – you will be responsible for educating customers and your staff (who will then educate our customers), about the benefits of our products. You will be looked upon as a role model of the healthy “So Good” lifestyle. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • So Good Customer Experience - above all else. Live and breathe this, model it, teach it, coach it and recognize it!

  • Be an inspiring leader of a team who interact with customers, selling juices, cleanse packages, smoothies, salads, snacks and other retail items.

  • Train and develop a strong support team of Shift Leads and “Wellness Baristas” to drive sales and effectively run the café’s day-to-day operations.

  • Recognize outstanding work performance while providing necessary constructive feedback

  • Review business practices and provide on-going feedback to your team and the owners to drive continuous improvement, personal development, and elevation of the So Good customer experience.

  • Set up systems and processes allowing the business to function more efficiently.

  • Assisting with human resource needs such as payroll and employee file maintenance‬

  • Work collaboratively with staff to develop seasonal offerings within budget goals.

  • Oversee deliveries, manage inventory, keep an immaculate shop and perform quality assurance.

  • Office management including daily reporting, petty cash management and reconciliation‬

  • Adhere to all company food safety, cash handling and operational policies and procedures and ensuring that all team members are in compliance as well

  • Partner with manager peers within the company on development and implementation of company best practices.

  • Create a Store Plan to execute company initiatives and follow-up consistently to ensure that your store is on track to achieve great results – set and achieve challenging goals for yourself and your team

  • Utilize financial tools and analyze financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in store performance

  • Ensure that all productivity numbers, sales and budgets are met

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and positive relations with the downtown skyway community through effective marketing and sponsorship, initiating community outreach through marketing and special events.

Café Shift Leader

Reports to: Juice Shop Manager, Senior Shift Leader

Classification: Hourly. Full- and part-time position

Summary: Shift Supervisors will assist the manager in day-to-day operations, as well as take lead of the front-end operations when the manager or Senior Shift Leader are not on the floor. Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing outstanding customer service to our guests, thorough product and ingredient knowledge, commitment to product quality, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment within the café, as well as delegating tasks to ensure operations run smoothly throughout scheduled shifts.


  • Sets an example for the Juice team and shows resilience under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Anticipates store and customer needs, and effectively communicates this with the Café Manager.

  • Assists with the training of new employees, as well as assisting in developing current employees.

  • Ensures new processes set by the Café Manager are being followed and utilized.

  • Delegates tasks necessary for maintaining a productive work environment throughout a scheduled shift.

  • Maintains a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, respectful, and prompt feedback to employees and provides coaching when necessary.

  • Communicates observations of positive behaviors and situations, as well as opportunities for improvement with Café Manager.

  • Follows Juice So Good policies and guidelines, while ensuring employees are following policies and guidelines as well.

  • Develops and maintains positive and professional relationship with employees.

Production Kitchen Shift Lead

Reports to: Production Manager & Assistant Manager

Wage: $12/hour plus quarterly bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example.

  • Oversee the daily operations of prep and production.

  • Ensure and improve on efficiency, flow, accuracy, and safety during production.

  • Assist with employee supervision and training.

  • Upholding the high cleanliness standards of the facility and holding self and others accountable to those standards.

  • Report any behavioral or other problematic work issues of employees to the production manager so proper coaching/corrective action can take place.

  • Report positive behavior and employment improvement to the production manager so that is acknowledged as well.

  • Work with production manager & assistant manager to create weekly plans and training initiatives.

  • Actively seek out opportunities to improve personal performance and the facility as a whole.

  • Maintain a positive attitude throughout stressful and challenging times.

  • Act as manager in the absence of the production manager or assistant manager.

  • Effectively maintain responsibilities given to you by the production manager and assistant manager

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and be available to act as closing lead at least one shift per week.

Retail Juice Specialist

Reports to: Juice Shop Manager
Classification: Hourly. Full- and part-time positions available
Summary: Be the face of our brand in our downtown skyway location! Duties will include, but are not limited to consulting with customers regarding our products, selling pre-bottled juices and cleanses, preparing fresh smoothies, preparing and serving our seasonal salads and clean-up of equipment and store to ensure a welcoming, accessible atmosphere. Own your role as an educator by familiarizing yourself with the process of making our products. Interact with and educate the customer about the benefits of fresh pressed juice consumption, cleansing, whole foods, and “clean eating.” Cashier duties will rotate among the team.

Reports to: Juice Kitchen Manager

Summary: Wash, chop, blend, fill… go behind the scenes and be the one making the magic happen at the juice factory! If you love working with fresh produce, and excel at working with a small team, have meticulous attention to detail and uncompromising commitment to quality, we want you in our kitchen! Duties will include, but are not limited to washing and cutting up fruit and vegetables, operating our fancy high-efficiency juicer, filler and blenders, labeling, bottling, capping the juices, palletizing, organization clean-up of equipment, cooler and dry storage areas. Own your job and your growth and development with the company by providing feedback to Kitchen Manager and owners to help drive continuous improvement to our processes.
